Time is Running Out

This has go to be short, finals are all consuming. Monday I went on my own mornign adventure to the V&A to get some fat quarters of fabric for my mommy. I had seen the quilt exhibit there and the fabrics were really cool but I didn't buy some to bring home. It was a great adventure otu and somehow I wound up in Cath Kidston on my way home, even though it's totally out of the way of home. Regardless, I am doen shopping there. I solemnly swear I wont buy anything more but mostly because I have realized that I have a major issue of trying to figure out how to get all my stuff back home. That night Sarah, Kalyn and I went and saw Les Miserables. It was fantastic of course. I had seen it in Salt Lake a while ago and honestly I think it was just as good there. The girl who played Fontine in London was spectacular though.

Tuesday I had class...bleh. And then after the majority of the group loaded up on a coach (I thought I was done riding in coaches after the North trip. Wrong.) and we went to the temple. It's advertised to be in London but technically speaking it's abotu an hour outside of London. It was wonderful to get to the temple and even if it meant less study time which I desperately need I am so glad I got to go. I'll post photos later. After the temple they gave us money for dinner and a few of us went to Kahn's. London has great indian food. If you ever come here don't leave without having tried some.

Today we got up early and toured the houses of parliament. This was pretty cool, it opened my eyes even mroe to the superior structure of the American government. This idea of being born into a position of power is a little bogus. I mean I know we have social elite and people like the Kennedy's have easier access to positions of power but the idea of Lords just sorta makes me scoff. Maybe if I was one I would think differently. After our tour there we saw the Jewel Tower and then headed to the cabinet war rooms. I got the chance to see the cabinet war rooms and the Churchill museum with the Dee's last summer so I sort of sped through this one. It's still one of my favorite London tourist attractions though. Afterwards Margaret and I walked through Harrod's food halls to say goodbye to the place. I got a cheese scone, something I ate the first week I was here. It was all very sentimental but it's probably best it was my last visit there. It's too tempting to go there when you are trying to avoid sweets.

I will maybe post later but if I don't it's because finals will be taking over my life. Cheers.

P.S. Mom did you figure out housing with mvm? Email me when you get a chance. Love you.
