Spitafields/Church at Hyde Park/National Portrait Gallery

Yesterday Laura left. She is taking trains to Paris then Spain and hoping to get out that way. It's sad seeing a few people dwindle off from the family and leave. It really does leave a bigger hole than I had imagined. Sarah Marshall left with her mom this morning as well. They went to Belgium, hoping to get out through Italy. As for me I am still hoping to get home from London.

We hit up Spitafield's market yesterday. This is definitely one of London's better markets. After that we went to church where once again Cameron and James McKean's friends came up to me and told me to say hi. In some way I would like to flatter myself and say that they are using it as an exucse to keep saying hi to me at church activities but then I remember how cool James and Cameron are and I realize that I really am flattering myself. Haha, but either way I love how everyone in the church is so connected, even half way across the world.

After church CJ, Jake and I walked to speaker's corner in Hyde Park. The Mormon missionries used to preach here back in the 1800s but they most definitely wouldn't be caught there now. It's a lot of false doctrine being yelled out and just a bunch of contentious people yelling and preaching. I didn't like it one bit. So I went to the national portrait gallery on my own. In Trafalgar they were broadcasting the Polish President's funeral and it was packed. I watched for a little bit and then headed back home to relax. It's really actually very nice at the center. People are still anxious to get gome but the directors and faculty are so loving and it feels like we are all one huge family now. I can't imagine waking up in the morning and not coming down to hang out with forty people. I really am going to miss it. This morning most of the group got up and went and played a big game of soccer in Hyde Park. It was just really neat to see how everyone has bonded and how the guy in our grop are protective and how the Cooper kids feel comfortable meshing with the older students. No one can replace a family but being in a BYU study abroad group that lives under one roof is the next best thing. Two of the girls from my room have already left and it feels so strange, like part of me is missing.

After about an hour of soccer I took off on a run by myself and it was pretty nice. The sun has been shining for a few days and I wish I had shorts here so I could soak up some sun but I think that's going to have to wait until I get home... whenever that is. For now I am going to shower and maybe head to Holland Park later today. No matter when I leave I am going to feel confident that I soaked up London.
