Cath Kidston Love

After a long day of class I decided that it was time I bought my bag. I have had my eye on this particular bag from Cath Kidston for over two months now. When I went into the Portabello store last week and saw that they didn't have any more on display I panicked. Quickly I asked the store clerk if they had any in back and she said they didn't because they were phasing that particular design out. I had her call all the stores in central London to see if they had more and she found two more at Chiswick. Where the heck is Chiswick right? Well I didn't care, I just wanted to get my hands on one particular sea-green spot bag! I calmly told myself that if I still wanted it after Paris I would trek out to Chiswick and make my purchase. I kept this in mind all week in Paris and limited my spending so that I could afford to come back and get it.

So I got on the district line and headed out to the end of zone two. No one from the centre was interested in coming with me. Calvin said he would have except A. he had too much grading and B. He didn't want to shop. Sad that the closest prospect of a travelling companion was an uninterested guy. Anywho! It took me forever to get out there and I was sort of worried about entering new territory in case it was like the ghetto or something. Turns out it was far, far from it. Chiswick is this high scale area and I fell in love with it the minute I stepped out of the tube. Chiswick High Street is just off the Putnam Green stop and there are the best little flower shops, boutiques, restaurants and Charity shops all over. The architecture and upscale feel is really great. If I had all the money in the world I would probably live in Chiswick. It's maybe one of my favorite neighborhoods in all of London. That's how great it was. So I found my bag and felt so happy about getting it. No buyers remorse at all. From here on out I really am going to save my money. I've bought my big souvenier and I am pretty happy. I could buy all the Cath Kidston store but I think for now one bag should do.

I came home, did some homework, and went with a few girls to Covent Garden where I bought Laura, my little girl in my primary class a candy cakes cupcake. She is getting baptized tomorrow so I am going to give it to her as a gift. Also on the agenda tomorrow: Broadway Market with Karli.
