We got into Madrid at about ten the first night but since the city never sleeps we walked out around Sol.

Here I am on the first morning SO excited to be in Madrid. That little guy I am holding was our best friend and got us through most of the city along with Erici's hostel map.

Outside our awesome hostel.

The first Day in Front of the Prado

CJ and I were pretty much just blending in with the locals here.
Plaza Mayor with CJ and Sarah
I thought this was funny so I had to take a photo. In Spain they don't use real candles probably because they are a fire hazard. So you put 20 cents in the they light a fake plastic one for you. I guess God answers prayers no matter how you do it.
.
Here I am outside the restaurant. I am smiling because this is
before I ate the Paella

Here is me with the Paella. It was a little sketch since they didn't de-bone the fish or the chicken or bother to take the eyes or the tails off anything. I found some cool collectable shells in my plate too, so I saved them to put on a hemp bracelet as a reminder to not eat Paella again.

The second night we saw Flamenco. It was AMAZING.

All of us in Toledo the 2nd day

Phrase of the day trip: Holy Toledo!

The streets in Toledo are so small and you just weave in and out of tall, old buildings.
This is the view from the Alcazar. So Gorgeous
This and Chucherias became our two staple foods. The girls were great enough to bring me back some churros to the hostel after I had stayed in that night to rest my foot.

By the last day in Madrid my foot was killing me so bad that Sarah pushed me in a wheelchair around the Reina Sofia. CJ wanted a ride but I wasn't about to let that happen.

Here we are on our last day in the Retiro. It is the coolest park.
all the girls were so great and let me rest my foot in the Retiro. They drew pictures in the sand while I watched (see photo below).

Here I am sitting on the wall while they all hung out and drew things in the sand. It was a beautiful day and probably one of the few sunny ones I will have over here in Europe.
Right before we got on the metro for the airport. Such a sad goodbye.

C.J. and I got super slap happy while waiting for our delayed flight in the airport. Total it took us almost ten hours to get back to our beds in London.
freaking love you.
