So basically the ramp up to the campus from Helaman Halls is where I get the best laughs, only i never laugh out loud because everyone would look at me and laugh... hmmm, confusing. Anyways, today for instance I had TWO great inner laughs while walking home from Humanities. It was dark outside already and so there weren't a lot of people on the ramp. I was right at the top, beginning my descent when I see another person (I wasn't sure that's what it was at this point however) ascending the tamp. Only they weren't walking like a person. Nope. They walked like a rabid dog. this kid was zig-zag walking like nobody's bidness. I was thinking that he looked a lot like that mad dog from to Kill a Mockingbird. As it turns out he wasn't rabid, he was just texting and not watching where he was walking. Go figure. I mean I don't know about you, but generally I walk in a somewhat straight line EVEN if I am distracted. Not this kid. He seemed to like lateral walking.
Ok so my second giggle in my heart came when i got about half way down the ramp, safely out of the range of the rabid human. There is a huge group of kids, maybe eight or nine chatting when out of the middle I hear this guy yell, "It's because his dad is a whore!" only he didn't yell it all rude, it was like matter-of-factly. Then the whole groups goes silent and kept walking. Here is what I am thinking: "What the heck?!"
So if you want some good inner laughs, take a stroll down Helaman ramp. Who knows what you will experience. Once I even saw a girl trying to tightrope walk that little side wall. She fell. Kinda sad, but kinda funny too.
